Rashford goal seals Man Utd win over Leicester as Ndidi, Iheanacho crash at home

Marcos Rashford scored the only goal of the game as Manchester United defeated Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were both in action for the Foxes, who searched for an equaliser to no avail.

The win for Manchester United means they have won nine games out of ten under interim boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who remains unbeaten.

“It is supposed to be like this. There are three points on the line. Our lads sacrificed everything they had,” the Reds boss said after the game.

“They know they can do better than this but a clean sheet is always a foundation to build on,” he added.

For Leicester, the loss is their third straight home defeat, and manager Claude Puel says his team are not happy about it.

“My only concern is this game,” the coach said when he was asked if he was worried about the losing streak.

“There’s a lot of frustration because we had all the possibility to get at least a draw. It’s not a fair result because we had all the chances. It’s too difficult always to chase the game and we are not happy about it.”
