Real Madrid thrashed 3-0 by Eibar in Solari’s first game as permanent boss

European champions, Real Madrid were beaten 3-0 at Eibar in a La Liga encounter on Saturday afternoon.

The defeat was Santiago Solari’s first since taking over the side as coach, and it was his first game since signing as permanent manager.

The Argentine was given the job on a permanent basis during the international break having won all four games since replacing the sacked Julen Lopetgui.

Gonzalo Escalante claimed an early opener as he puts the hosts ahead in the 16th minute.

Sergi Enrich then doubled the lead shortly after half-time, before Kike struck five minutes later to seal victory for Eibar.

The Basque outfit, who are in just their fifth season in the Spanish top flight, are now 7th in the table.

The Jose Luis Mendilibar’s side stand two points behind sixth-placed Real Madrid.
