Relief as NBC lifts suspension on AIT, Raypower
Relief has come the way of DAAR Communications Plc., owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and RayPower FM, as the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has lifted the suspension placed on the media house.
Reports say the decision to lift the suspension on DAAR Communications which was announced on Friday by Director General of the commission, Malam Isaq Modibbo Kawu, was reached after the two parties reached an agreement.
However, the NBC DG said the settlement between the two parties is based on fulfillment of some conditions.

Recall earlier that, Sylvanus Maliki, the counsel to DAAR Communications had informed the Federal High Court in Abuja which was presiding over terms of settlement between both parties that they have met to resolve the issues in the dispute.
Recall that the NBC in a strongly worded letter dated May 27, accused DAAR of breaching Nigeria’s Broadcasting Code with its political programme ‘Kakaaki’.
