The 2020 Appropriation Bill has been raised by about N27 billion, from N10.33 trillion to about N10.6 trillion by the House of Representatives.

Reps Committee on Finance proposed the new figure and plans to lay its report on the national budget at the plenary on Wednesday (today).

The total sum recommended by the committee is N10,594,362,364,830.

The development is coming as the legislative and executive arms have said they would ensure the budget was passed before Christmas break in order to return Nigeria to a January-December budget cycle.
