Again, Gov Wike raises the alarm, says IGP Idris wants to raid his Abuja house

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state on Friday shamed political supporters who fight selves and cause havoc in the state, as he said there was no personal problem between him and Chibuike Amaechi.

According to Governor Wike, the only problem he has with his predecessor and Minister of Transport is their political ideology, which he said does not amount to a level that will lead to the destruction of the state.

He said this at the 12 All Nigeria Editors Conference holding in Port Harcourt, insisting that they want peace for the state.

He said, “There is nothing personal. We differ politically because we belong to different political politics. We want peace in the state and it is my desire to ensure that the state is peaceful.

He acknowledged Amaechi as a former boss whom he had good times serving as the governor of the state.

He added, “We should make sacrifices for peace. The state must move on. We only differ politically and that should not be to the level that will destroy the state.”

He praised former president Goodluck Jonathan for his special role to ensure peace existed in the country by conceding defeat during the 2015 general election.

“Jonathan should be commended for this single act. People should emulate this move to ensure peace in the country,” he said.
