Residents in awe as Ogun river turns dry
Scores of residents living around the Ojodu Berger area of Lagos State were left in shock when the popular Ogun River which flows under the Kara Bridge surprisingly went dry.
Reports say the river went dry on the 18th June and as a result, the Kara cattle market community under the bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has become a Mecca of some sort.
The river which once provided water for the Kara cattle and ram market is no more as people stormed the community to behold the dried portion of the river.
The river which also served as one of the means of transportation for residents in the community with canoes used to reach dense parts of the river is now totally dry with residents claiming it wasn’t that way a day before.
