Resign if you don't want to be impeached, Oshiomhole tells Saraki

Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has again called on Senate President Bukola Saraki to resign if he does not want to be impeached.

According to the former Edo State governor, the only thing that can save the embattled Senate President is his resignation.

The APC boss made the call at a meeting with the APC Senators and members of the House of Representatives in Abuja on Tuesday.

Oshiomhole, who insisted that the Saraki’s sack is a task that must be achieved, said the party and its majority lawmakers would not accept minority rule.

Oshiomhoke also berated a section of the media, accusing it of buying into the narrative of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that the APC IS the aggressor in the face-offf between the Senate and the Executive.

Oshiomhole said: “We will impeach Saraki legally and democratically.

“The only way he can avoid impeachment is to either resign or return to the majority party- even then we will not accept him, he should remain where he is.

“No amount of blackmail or sponsored analysts can stop his removal.”
