Retired Air Force chief kidnapped five days ago regains freedom
A retired Air Vice Marshall, Sikiru Smith who was kidnapped in Lekki area of Lagos State five days ago has regained his freedom.
The Police spokesman, Lagos State, Adekunle Ajisebutu confirmed the release of Air Vice Marshal Sikiru Smith (retd.) from the kidnappers’ den on Saturday.
Ripples Nigeria reported that Smith was whisked away by masked gunmen on Monday in the Ajah area of Lagos State where he was supervising work on a dredging site.

According to Ajisebutu, he was released n the early hours of Saturday.
He noted that concerted efforts were ongoing to apprehend those behind the ordeal.
However, the police could not confirm if ransom was paid before his release.
