Retired customs boss in PDP defeats serving APC Rep to win senate seat in Osun

A retired Deputy Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Custom Service who is also the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ), Chief Francis Fadahunsi has been announced as the winner of Osun East Senatorial district.

Fadahunsi defeated an incumbent member of the House of Representatives, JUN OLA Famurewa of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ).

PDP got 115,893 while the APC got 105,720.

The result was announced late Sunday night by the Returning Officer, Professor Adegbehingbe Olayinka Oladiran.
