Revealed: Neighbours stopped alleged killer-wife from travelling abroad

Fresh facts emerged yesterday on how neighbours stopped a female lawyer, Mrs. Udeme Odebi, from travelling out of the country after allegedly killing her husband, Mr. Otike Odebi and cutting off his genitals. Saturday Telegraph gathered that the suspect had packed her luggage and concluded plans to travel out of the country but was stopped by their neighbours.

New Telegraph correspondent gathered that the suspect hatched the plan of killing her husband a week ago, along with how to escape being arrested afterwards.

A police source said the alleged killer-wife was prevented from escaping immediately after the incident because the late husband had informed some neighbours about the threat from his wife before he met his untimely end.

The source said: “When the neighbours prevented her from escaping, she picked up a knife and stabbed herself to show that she was struggling with her late husband. She was immediately rushed to hospital.
