Novak Djokovic insists he will be taking this year’s Rio Olympics as seriously as any Grand Slam event on the calendar.

The world number one has yet to win a gold medal at the Games, with a bronze in Beijing eight years ago his best return to date, and he will be jetting off to South America in the summer to try and put that right.

The Serbian ace has already won the Australian Open this year and is favourite to claim his first French Open title next month.
