Rivers burns: INEC office ablaze, protesters take to streets

Political thugs on Sunday set ablaze the INEC office which also served as a collation centre in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Reports say the building which is located in the council’s headquarters was set on fire by unknown thugs.
Also on Sunday, there was a protest in the state capital, Port Harcourt, by members of the APC against what they described as irregularities in the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
Also, there was pandemonium in Ugba town of Logo local government area of Benue State, as unknown gunmen unleashed terror in the area, setting ablaze the INEC office in the area.

Eyewitnesses say trouble started after supporters of the rival political parties clashed, leading to sporadic gunshots and pandemonium as people scrambled for safety, causing inkjury to many people.

Ugba is the headquarters of Logo LGA the home town of Governor Gabriel Suswam.

It was alleged that the armed men who unleashed the terror were dressed in military uniforms.
