RIVERS: Escapee suspect who allegedly defiled, murdered 8-yr-old for ritual re-arrested

Ifeanyi Chukwu Maxwell Dike, who allegedly defiled, mutilated and killed an eight-year-old girl (Victory Chikamso) for suspected ritual has been rearrested.

After his initial arrest, he had escaped from police custody under the cover of darkness. The police had since embarked on a manhunt for him.

The Rivers State Police Command confirmed his re-arrest on Friday, by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

The suspect had reportedly managed to escape from police custody about two weeks ago taking advantage of the darkness within the premises of the State Criminal Investigation Department after his handcuffs were unlocked by a policeman on duty identified as Johnbosco for him to write his statement.

According to the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed, the suspected ritual killer was re-arrested in the middle-belt region of Jos in Plateau State early Friday morning and he is currently under heavy security.

Before he escaped police custody weeks ago, Dike was arrested by local vigilante group who later handed him over to men of the Rivers State Police Command after he was caught with the lifeless mutilated body of the eight-year-old girl.

Reports say he was nabbed after trying to dispose of the remains of the little girl said to be the child of his neighbour after cutting off her eyes, tongue and vagina.

The rearrest of this devil’s advocate has just made my day.

If Johnbosco like let him aid his escape again… he would’ve paid with his own blood!
