RIVERS GUBER: INEC gives assurance it’ll conclude collation as promised

The collation of the Rivers State governorship election result will be completed as scheduled, so says the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to INEC National Commissioner supervising Bayelsa, Edo and Rivers states, Mrs May Agbamuche-Mbu, the electoral body will not exceed between the April 2 and 5 scheduled date to reveal the result.

She also assured all concerned that the collation process would be carried out transparently.

While addressing a stakeholders meeting which heralded the resumption of collation activities, Mrs Agbamuche-Mbu assured that results in their custody have not been manipulated.

“All the results are with us in our strong room. They have not been tampered with. We are going to conduct the collation transparently.

“INEC is here to complete this process and we shall complete the process successfully,” she assured.
