Fire breaks out in INEC office in Rivers

Rivers state Independent National Electoral Commission’s office in Bori, Khana Local Government Area of Rivers state is on fire.

The incident is happening just few days to the legislative rerun slated for July 30, 2016.

An official of the commission in the area said he contacted security agencies and informed them about the development and no reason has been given for the fire outbreak.

Although there are indication that it was not unconnected with efforts by mischief makers to frustrate the coming rerun election in the state.
