Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a brace, including a stunning bicycle kick, to spur his side to a 3-0 victory in their Champions League quarter-final first leg at Juventus.

The reigning world best footballer opened the scoring only three minutes into the game when he fired in Isco’s cross to become the first player to score in 10 consecutive UCL games.

Real doubled their lead when Dani Carvajal lifted a cross into the air right inside the Juve box and Ronaldo sent a flying acrobatic kick past Gianluigi Buffon on 64 minutes.

The tie was tough for the home side as they continued to search for goal, having had many efforts prove abortive especially in the first half.

In the 64th minute, it got even worse for the Serie A side as Paulo Dybala was shown a second yellow card for a high boot to the chest of Carvajal.

Marcelo then sealed the win 18 minutes to time when he played a one-two with Ronaldo before scoring from close range.

In the other Champions League quarter-final game played on Tuesday night, Bundesliga leaders, Bayern Munich came from a goal down to beat Spanish giants, Sevilla 2-1 in Spain.

The hosts, who defeated Manchester United in the round of 16, got ahead when midfielder Pablo Sarabia scored on 32 minutes, but missed a lot of chances to double their lead.

Bayern got back into the game when a Jesus Navas own goal levelled both sides just five minutes after.

Thiago Alcantara then sealed victory for the German champions when his deflected header from Frank Ribery’s low cross got past Sevilla goalkeeper 22 minutes from time.

As it stands, Real and Bayern are in control of their respective ties ahead of the second leg to be played Wednesday next week.
