RUGA: Bauchi governor welcomes herdsmen
Despite widespread resistance to the Federal Government’s proposal on Ruga, the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has backed it.
He said his state is ready to host the Ruga farm settlement for herdsmen.
Mohammed stated this while speaking with State House correspondents in Abuja on Monday after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that Federal Government had disclosed that it was working towards establishing Ruga settlements for herdsmen in 12 pilot states nationwide.
Mohammadu Umar, the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, made this known in Abuja recently.
