Runaway knifeman stabs two men to death at a mall near Washington

A knifeman who is now on the run fatally attacked two men in a Maryland mall near Washington even as police say they are working to identify the description of the suspect.

Loca police say they found the victims who were suffering from stab wounds at the Westfield Wheaton Mall, the scene of the incident, after an assault call was put through to them.

According to Montgomery County Police in a statement, the victims were taken to local hospitals, where they died. Police identified one of the victims as 22-year-old Angel Pineda-Gomez of SILVER Spring.

A police source also revealed that a small group of people, including the two victims, fought with the suspect on the lower level of the mall before the stabbings occurred.

The suspect is now on the run and authorities are trying to confirm the motive for the stabbings.
