Pinnick denies rift with CAF over FIFA seat nomination
Ahead of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers scheduled to start in September, the Nigeria Football Federation are intensifying efforts in securing a substantial coach for the Super Eagles and venues for the matches.
Ripples Nigeria gathered that the federation has settled for a Serbian foreign coach for the Super Eagles just as the body has penciled Salisu Yusuf, Emmanuel Amuneke and Alloy Agu as substantive coaches if the foreign coach idea failed to click.
It was learnt that NFF wants to seal a deal before June 24 when the World Cup draws would be made.
Similarly, the NFF are considering Kaduna, Port Harcourt and Calabar for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers billed to start across the continent in October.
The Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna is still being considered despite the crowd hitch recorded in the Nigeria/Egypt match while the Adokiye Amesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers State and the Ultra Modern Stadium in Uyo, Cross River State are also in contention.
