Rwandan president seeks third term
The sit-tight posture of African leaders is playing out again after President Paul Kegame declared his intention to run for a third term in office, one month after Rwandans voted for constitutional referendum allowing him to do so.
After his second seven-year term expires in 2017, Kegame will run for a third term in office as he seeks to extend his stay as the president of Rwanda.

Last month, Rwandans turned up for a constitutional referendum in which 98.3 percent voted to approve the country’s revised Constitution to allow Kegame run again after his term ends- a move that has been opposed by the US.
