The former Commissioner for Rural and Community Development in Kano State, Abbas Sani Abbas, has dumped the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, sacked Abbas, the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Bichi, and four other commissioners in December last year.

The ex-commissioner announced his switch to APC when he visited the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, at his Kano State residence on Friday night.

He promised to work for APC’s success in Kano State and beyond.

In his remark, the deputy senate president reaffirmed the ruling party’s commitment to a better future for the people of Kano State and Nigerians as a whole.

He said APC would continue to promote the values of good governance, inclusivity, and service to humanity.
