Veteran actor and broadcaster Sadiq Daba is said to be in need of about $25,000 for treatment after he was diagnosed by doctors of having leukaemia and prostate cancer.

Reports say a Gofundme account has been set up on behalf of Daba who is currently receiving treatment at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital for the life-threatening diseases he has been diagnosed with.

The amount needed for Daba who according to reports does not want to bother the public to raise funds to help assuage his condition was made public by former journalist and artiste manager Per Azuka Jebose on social media.

Jebose wrote: “Through the years, Sadiq Daba enchanted us with his beloved performances as a young Actor on Nigerian Television and in the movies. We loved his charming characters. In real life, Sadiq transcends humanity with his free spirit and openness to all; hence Nigerians gravitate to his affection.
