ATIKU: IPOB disowns Prof Nwabueze for joining 'the enemy..with a bag of foreign currency'

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has suggested that Justice Binta Nyako should allow her family members move into prison for safety.

The IPOB fugitive leader was responding to a comment by the Abuja Federal High Court judge on Thursday.

Justice Nyako had said that the only way she would guarantee Kanu’s safety in Nigeria was to send him back to prison if he returns to the country.

The judge had added that even judges in Nigeria were not sure of their safety in the country currently.

She had stated this when Kanu’s counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, told the court that his client was ready to return to Nigeria to continue his alleged treasonable offence trial should he be guaranteed of his safety in Nigeria.

However, responding through a tweet on his Twitter account, @MaziNnamdiKanu, the IPOB leader said, “According to Justice Binta Nyako, ‘Nigeria is NOT safe for anyone, including judges.’

“If in her view prison is the safest place to live for Nigerians, I suggest her family move into the nearest one to avoid being abducted. Nigeria is lawless, confirmed!”

Kanu had jumped bail and absconded since 2017, after Nigerian soldiers allegedly raided his home in Afaraukwu, Abia State.
