Salah scores goal no. 20 as Liverpool move into top 4

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah continued his unstoppable form since arriving at Liverpool this summer as he contributed a goal to the 4-0 mauling of Bournemouth on Sunday.

The reigning BBC African Footballer banged in his 20th goal in 26 games in all competitions for the Reds as they produced a dominant performance against their hosts to move up to fourth in the Premier League table.

Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring twenty minutes into the game with a fine individual goal and Dejan Lovren doubled their lead with a header six minutes later.

Salah then made it 3-0 before half-time after an excellent run, and Roberto Firmino completed the dismantling heading in Coutinho’s cross about twenty minutes into the second half.

The victory extends Liverpool’s unbeaten run in all competitions to 12 matches, while Bournemouth have not won in six games.

The Jurgen Klopp’s men will be playing away at Arsenal this Friday before hosting Swansea City on Boxing Day, while Bournemouth will face Chelsea next in a Carabao Cup quarter-final clash.
