Salah voted PFA Player for February

Egypt and Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah has been voted the Premier League Player of the month of February by the Professional Football Association (PFA).

This was announced by the PFA on their Twitter handle on Monday.

The Egypt captain and reigning African Player of the Year beat his Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino to the award.

Salah secured 37 percent of the votes, while Firmino got 19 per cent.

Also in the running were Jack Butland of Stoke City, Chris Smalling of Manchester United, Pascal Gross of Brighton and Hove Albion and Eden Hazard of Chelsea.

It is the third time this season Salah has collected the accolade. He scored four league goals in three appearances last month.

He is joint-top scorer in the league this season with 24 goals, the same as Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
