SAMBISA: PDP says FG lied, presented fake flag

Even after commending the Nigerian government and Army for its recent feat against the terrorist group Boko Haram, by capturing its Sambisa Forest stronghold, the opposition PDP has said the APC-led government lied to Nigerians.

The party in a series of retweets on Sunday on a hashtag #VoteAndStay, purportedly belonging to its tweeter handle, @officialpdp, said the government presented a fake flag to Nigerians it claimed was the captured flag of the sect.

The hashtag went on to display pictures of what it said was the Boko Haram flag as captured in the group’s broadcast, and which it said gallant troops retrieved from places where it displaced the sect under the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The PDP which also displayed the flag handed over to President Muhammadu Buhari as that of the sect retrieved from Sambisa Forest claimed it was fake, adding that the APC was still feeding Nigerians with propaganda.

The party said, “@APCNigeria led administration again welcomed Nigeria into the new year 2017 with another blatant lie of capturing Boko haram stronghold

“By presenting a FAKE Boko Haram flag as a sign of victory against the Sect. This is so unfortunate and a disgrace to our sovereignty

“Below are the original flags of Boko haram when our Gallant soldiers during the PDP era without propaganda displayed as signs of victory

“And these are the flags of Boko haram as displayed by the sect themselves during their broadcast and at press time

“This @APCNigeria led administration is all about lies and propaganda. They lied their way into office and are still lying while in office

“Even the recent video of the sect leader denying capture of sambisa has the original flag, the PDP claimed.
