SAN FRANCISCO: 3 killed, 2 injured in shooting at UPS facility
A day after a US Congressman, his aide and two Capitol cops were shot in Alexandria, Virginia, a similar scene played out in San Francisco when a gunman killed three people and injured two others at a UPS facility.
According to reports by local police, the shooter identified as 38-year-old Jimmy Lam of San Francisco, later died on the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A police source said a total number of six people were shot by the gunman including himself as five other people were injured while trying to escape the scene of the incident.
Two firearms were recovered at the scene, according to San Francisco Police Assistant Chief Toney Chaplin who said it is unclear if any of the victims were targeted, and does not believe the case to be linked to terrorism.
