#SaveMayowa saga: Brother offers update on ailing sister

Two weeks after Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu stormed the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) with policemen claiming she was fooled into spearheading the #SaveMayowa campaign to raise funds to the tune of N32 million needed to fly her (Mayowa Ahmed) abroad for treatment to cure Ovarian cancer, Mayowa’s brother has offered an update on the state of his ailing sister.

In a lengthy message posted on Twitter, Mayowa’s brother via his account (@Asiwaju_Foye) informed that his family is still trying to convince doubting Thomas’s that the fund raiser was not a scam while also informing that his ailing sister is set to fly to the U.A.E for medical treatment.
He thanked well-meaning Nigerians for their contributions and prayers towards Mayowa’s cause and revealed that his family has gone through several challenges in their plight to move her abroad for treatment.
Mayowa’s brother in the extensive tweet also revealed that a doctor in a U.A.E hospital has accepted to treat her for her ailment and has also advised on a new date for Mayowa to arrive their facility which the family has made all necessary arrangements to meet up with.
He further informed that the family has secured a three-month visa and an emergency doctor to accompany Mayowa on the trip (as requested by the airline booked to fly her to the U.A.E)
