The Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, last night took a breath of the air of freedom, as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, released him on bail.

However, Secondus was made to part with his international passport and also produce sureties with a N750 million bond each. The sureties are Federal Civil Servants on Grade Level 17

Speaking on the bail, Secondus’ counsel, Mr. Emeka Etiaba (SAN), said: “The PDP Deputy National Chairman has been released but under extremely stringent conditions. For a man whose alleged offence has not been proven, he does not deserve stringent bail terms.”

The EFCC had arrested Secondus over allegation of receiving 23 vehicles from a business associate of ex-Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
