The Senate on Thursday rejected a request from the Kaduna State Government for a loan $350 million, from the World Bank.

The rejection followed the recommendation of the Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts and the three senators from the state.

Governor Nasir El’Rufai had informed the Senate last year of his government’s intention to apply for the loan, from the World Bank, which he said was for the short and medium term developmental objectives of his administration.
