Sen Shehu Sani refuses to participate in APC senatorial primaries

Senator Shehu Sani, the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) candidate for the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections has rejected the outcome of the polls.

Speaking to newsmen at his residence in Kaduna, Sani who was gunning for the Kaduna Central Senatorial district seat alleged that the elections were full of irregularities and massive rigging.

The result presented by the Returning Officers, Messrs Bashir Abubakar, Lawal Ahmad, and Abdulfatai Imrana revealed that the All Progressives Congress candidate (APc) Uba Sani, was victorious in the polls.

The election outcome declared by the two returning officers are as follows;

APC – 7, 872
PDP – 26, 918
PRP – 2456

Giwa Local Government
APC – 41, 221
PDP – 12, 912
PRP – 1480

Birnin Gwari Local Government
APC – 30, 673
PDP – 9, 855
PRP – 2, 260

Igabi local government
APC – 87, 607
PDP – 23, 711
PRP – 5, 603
