Senate to receive 2025 budget report by Thursday – Akpabio
The Senate Committee on Appropriations will present the report on the 2025 budget by Thursday.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, disclosed this at Tuesday’s plenary in Abuja.
He made the remark after the senators debated a bill seeking the establishment of a Federal University of Agriculture in Abak, Akwa Ibom State.
President Bola Tinubu raised the 2025 budget estimate from N49.7 trillion to N54.2 trillion on February 5.

Akpabio assured Nigerians that the senators are putting the finishing touches on the appropriation bill.
“You will observe that some of our colleagues are not in the chamber because they are working on the final details of the 2025 Appropriation Bill, which will be laid before us tomorrow (Wednesday) or the next day,” the Senate president added.
