Senator Abbo weeps as he apologises for assaulting nursing mother (video)

The senator representing Adamawa North, Elisha Ishaku Abbo, has apologised to Nigerians, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and women in general, for assaulting a nursing mother.

The senator was caught on tape slapping a nursing mother repeatedly at a sex toy shop in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja.

He made the apology at a press conference at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Abuja.

Senator Abbo wept as he asked for forgiveness from mothers, Nigerians, his party, the National Assembly, his family, the victim and her family, as well as all people who were embarrassed by his conduct.

He stated that it is not in his character to assault women. Watch the video below:
