Senator Ohuabunwa sworn in by Saraki

President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki,Wednesday, swore in Senator Mao Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as senator representing Abia North Senatorial District.

Ohuabunwa was returned elected at the March 12 Senatorial election re-run for Abia North Senatorial district. He defeated a former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu of the Progressives Peoples Congress, PPA amongst others.

It would be recalled that the Court of Appeal had annulled his victory at the March 28, 2015 National Assembly election and ordered for a re-run.

Saraki congratulated Ohuabunwa for his victory, and urged him to settle down to provide quality legislation not only to the people of his constituency but also Nigeria in general.
