Senator Shehu Sani has again been defeated by Senator Uba Sani in the battle for Kaduna Central district senatorial seat.

After the initial defeat, the former senator on Wednesday suffered another defeat as the 2019 National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Kaduna, sacked his petition challenging the emergence of Uba Sani as Kaduna Central senator.

In a two-hour judgment read by the chairman of the tribunal, Justice A. H. Suleiman, the tribunal said Shehu Sani’s petition lacked merit and dismissed it.

Senator Uba Sani’s second lead counsel, Barrister Sulaiman Shu’aibu, in response to the ruling said the judgment was appropriate.

He then called on those who may not be satisfied with it to appeal at a higher court.
