Kalidou Koulibaly’s nerveless volley in the 70th minute did the magic for Senegal as his effort sent Ecuador packing.

Watford’s Ismaila Sarr had put the Lions ahead through a penalty just before halftime before Moises Caicedo equalized for Ecuador early in the second half.

Netherlands will now face the runners-up up of Group B while Senegal will face the team that finishes top of Group B in the knockout stage.
