Service Chiefs visit Aso Rock

Emerging reports indicate that a number of service chiefs in the early hours of Friday were at the Aso Rock, the seat of power.

It is still unclear the reason for the visit, if they were summoned or they were there at their own volition.

It was also not confirmed as at the time of this report, if they met, or would be able to meet with ailing President Muhammadu Buhari.

Those who were at the Presidential Villa included the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-General Tukur Buratai; the Chief Of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar and the Chief Of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Iba.

Presdeint Buhari has been indoors and has not been sighted in public for over two weeks now, heightening concerns over his health status.
