SGF tasks ministers to immediately start work on 2020 budget

The newly sworn-in ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have been tasked to commence immediate work on the 2020 budget.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr Mustapha Boss made the call in Abuja on Wednesday during the inauguration of the ministers.

Boss who had earlier taken his oath of office at the programme, implored the ministers to hit the ground running with the enormous task before them, in order to build on the progress made by the past administration.

Meanwhile, President Mhammadu Buhari has announced the portfolios of the newly inaugurated ministers.

Among the announced portfolios are: Babatude Fashola, minister of Works and Housing, Festus Keyamo as minister of Niger Delta (state), Godswill Akpabio as minister of Niger Delta and Uche Ogah as minister of Mining and Steel.
