A queen and a princess of Shehu of Bama in Borno State, who were abducted by insurgents almost two years ago, have been rescued by the military in Borno.

The General Commanding officer of 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brig. Gen. Victor Ezugwu handed over the queen and her daughter to the Shehu of Bama, Alhaji Umar IBN Kyari El-kanemi at his residence in Maiduguri yesterday.

Daily Trust gathered that the queen and two children were abducted when insurgents invaded Bama town two years ago, and that one of the two abducted children, a male, had been killed by the insurgents, while the military rescued the wife of the Bama monarch and the female child around the Damboa axis on Sunday.
