Sheriff sends stern warning to Fayose, says enough of your insult

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman‎, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has warned the party’s Governors Forum chairman and governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose to watch his tongue.

Sheriff, who said he may be forced to take disciplinary measures against Fayose, added that he will never descend so low to the governor’s level.

He said this while addressing newsmen at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja, pointing out that if not for his position as PDP chairman, he would have had nothing to do with Fayose.

Sheriff said, “‎The people have their rights and those rights must be allowed to prevail. So, we are making it clear to Fayose that the PDP has rules and regulations and that we will go through the constitution of the party and see what we can do.

“PDP had about 28 governors but now we have only 12 governors; we cannot allow impunity to continue. He (Fayose) wakes up every day to insult Ali Sheriff. I will not join issues with him but enough is enough.

“Don’t encroach on other peoples’ rights. Political party is a voluntary association so, as party leaders, we must allow people to make their own choices. I don’t have any personal problem with Governor Fayose but there are levels that people shouldn’t go.”

He further revealed that the party National Working Committee (NWC) had studied and accepted the recommendations of Governor Seriake Dickson-led PDP National Reconciliation Committee report, which slated June 30 for a national convention.

He assured that the report would not be shelved since former President Goodluck Jonathan had made an input into it.

Fayose had in a statement on Thursday distanced himself from Governor Seriake Dickson’s committee report, alleging that over $1million had been provided by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to fund the convention being planned by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff group.

Fayose further said, “There cannot be any meaningful reconciliation with an impossible character like Senator Sheriff who is obviously working for political interests different from that of the PDP.”

If Sheriff doesn’t take disciplinary measures against Fayose, he won’t stop saying nonsense that he’s known for. Sheriff should put an end to this once and for all

Fayose is not a reasonable human being, if he was, he would be more concerned about the success of the party, not throwing mean words at Sheriff.

Fayose is just a very senseless human being. How can he alleged apc to be funding pdp with $1m for national convention where as even the apc are planning theirs and raising money for theirs. He is a blabber who needs to be prosecuted and sentenced to imprisonment. His own is just too much.

Leave that loose mouth governor alone. He only has this year to enjoy his misguided talks. By next year after handing over, he becomes an RIP (Rest In Prison) for the rest days of his life.
