Shiites vow to fight Kaduna Govt over ban

Ruffled by the declaration of its group as illegal by the Kaduna State Government, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, also known as Shiites, Saturday, vowed to fight the ban in court.

It would be recalled that the Kaduna State Government, had on Friday, announced a ban order signed by the state governor, Malam Nasır El-Rufa’i, declaring group illegal.

The state government also said its decision was inform because of the need to safeguard public interest and safety.

The spokesman of the group, Ibraheem Musa, while speaking with newmen in Kaduna said the ban announced by the government was illegal.

“Its an infringement on our basic right as citizens of the country.

“We are not going to be intimidated into taking any violence or unlawful activity but will take legal action against the Kaduna State Government for the infringement”, Musa said.
