Siasia clears air on wedding anniversary

U-23 Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, has come out to set the record straight on his marriage that has been an issue in the social space in the past few days.

A lot of stakeholders have questioned the rationale behind his marriage as a 17 year old player claiming he falsified his football age and have drew lot to criticism in the media.

But Coach Siasia on Sunday revealed that he actually celebrated his 27th marriage anniversary and not 30th as has been reported in the media, as he got married at the age of 20 in 1988.

Noting that the marriage anniversary party was not organized by him or his family but by his friends and back-room staff of the U-23 National Team, Siasia said he had notified the organisers that day of the error when he saw the cake.

While thanking Nigerians for all their support during his playing days and now as a coach, Coach Siasia said he will never do anything to tarnish the image of the country in any way.
