SOKOTO: Stop relocating to Niger Republic, Tambuwal pleads with fleeing residents

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, Wednesday confirmed the death of three COVID-19 patients in the state.

The Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the governor, Malam Muhammad Bello, disclosed this in a statement in Sokoto.

The governor noted that all three victims had a history of other diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and high blood pressure.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Muhammad Ali Inname, had on Monday confirmed eight new cases of COVID-19 in the state.

The commissioner said the new cases were recorded on April 26 and were all among the 32 contacts of the state index case.

He said the second case was recorded on April 23 and that all the contacts had been investigated.
