Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has said that his government was going to do everything possible to ensure a Nigerian soldier who murdered a commercial motorcyclist, over alleged N100 bribe, would not escape justice.

The soldier was said to have shot and killed the motorcyclist, Chimaobi Nwaorgu, at Amaise, Umuokereke Ngwa, in Obingwa council area of the state on Wednesday.

Ikpeazu, who visited the family of the deceased to condole with them at Ezido Na Ife Village, Umuokereke Ngwa, said he had already directed the Commissioner of Police, Ene Okon, to step up investigations on the murder.

He described the murder act as wicked, malicious, unprofessional and cowardly.

“This is one murder too many. We will do everything possible under the law to get this murderous soldier and bring him to justice. Whatever it takes, we will do. We will go to Abuja or any other place to ensure that this soldier doesn’t go scot-free.
