Hypertek Records honcho, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2face has replied allegations of song theft levelled against him by his former band mate, Blackface, who accused him of stealing the lyrics of his song titled ‘Let Somebody Love You’ which 2face recorded alongside Roc Nation Diva, Bridget Kelly.

When spilling his guts over the issue, Blackface also threatened to go to court to seek redress over the said song which interestingly was the first single off the sixth studio album of 2face titled ‘The Ascension’.

But in an interview he granted Channels TV Entertainment News, 2face replied calmly when asked about the allegations levelled against him by Blackface, who also claims they’ve both not been in good terms for a long time.

”My brother it’s just so unfortunate. I don’t know where it is coming from. I’m trying to think of different reasons. I thought maybe his account was hacked or something. Apparently it wasn’t hacked, so we’ll trash the whole matter.. but I’ve got nothing but love and respect for him and it’s just so unfortunate that he’s coming at me like that.”

2face was also asked if he still considers Blackface to be his friend and he replied thus: ”Apparently he doesn’t consider me his friend anymore but I wish him no ill-will. Let’s leave it like that for now.”

Recall in the past that Blackface also claimed that he originally wrote the song ‘African Queen’ which literarilly brought 2face global acclaim at the time the song was released.

How come the only beautiful songs this dude has written are the ones done by 2face? If he is that good how come he has not done some hits since after Africa Queen? 2face, the supposed song thief, on the other hand, has done hit after hit to stamp his authority on the music scene. Truly, truly, who God bless, no man can curse.
