South Africa opens inquiry into death of 5 kids locked in freezer

An inquiry has been opened by the police in South Africa into the death of five kids who died of suffocation after being trapped in a freezer.

Sources say local police does not expect foul play over the demise of the five cousins who were aged between three and seven.

Preliminary reports say the kids who were later found dead by their grandmother are thought to have suffocated to death after trapping themselves in the freezer.t
In a statement about the deaths in Kakamas, the police said they believed the freezer, which was turned off, locked while the children were playing inside it.
