The South West Governors’ Forum Friday inaugurated the board of O’dua Investment Limited.

The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, disclosed this in a statement in Akure.

South West Governors’ Forum has governors of Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Oyo States as members.

The previous board of Odu’a Investment Limited was dissolved by the governors on April 16.

The governors said the inauguration among others was the thrust of a virtual meeting held on May 7 by the six governors and presided over by the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

The new board is headed by Dr. Lawrence Olusegun Aina (Osun).

The other members are – Mr. Segun Olujobi (Ekiti), Dr. Tola Kasali (Lagos), Otunba Bimbo Ashiru (Ogun), Chief Segun Ojo (Ondo), and Seeni Adio (Oyo).

The governors, who expressed confidence in the individual capabilities of the board members, said the choices were made after careful consideration of their wealth of experience, integrity, and deep knowledge of the business environment.

This development is coming at a time when some workers in one of the companies owned by the investment platform are complaining about non-payment of salaries since March, having been sent on compulsory leave without pay.

Ripples Nigeria had earlier reported that the Lagos Airport Hotel, one of the companies in the Odua Investment Limited platform, had asked about 250 of its staff to proceed on a three-month compulsory leave without pay.

A text message signed by the company’s Human Resources Manager, Mrs. Yemi Madu, and dated April 21, 2020 said the leave took effect from May 1.
