Spain’s COVID-19 death toll hits 4,858 as 769 persons die within 24 hours
The Spanish government Friday confirmed that 769 people were killed by COVID-19 within 24 hours in the European nation.
The figure took the COVID-19 death toll in Spain to 4,858.
The country’s Health Ministry said in a statement that the number of infections had increased to 64,059.

The COVID-19 had killed over 20,000 people and infected 293,000 others across the globe since December last year when the outbreak was first recorded in Wuhan, China.
