Special police squad nabs 3 ex-convicts for allegedly robbing lady in Lagos

The police Rapid Response Squad in Lagos have arrested three ex-convicts for allegedly robbing a lady in Lekki area of Lagos state.

The RRS spokesperson, Olufemi Malik, who confirmed the arrest in the statement on Monday said the suspects, Emmanuel Michael, Simeon Michael, and Mohammed Abubakar were arrested by operatives of RSS on Sunday night after the victim raised an alarmed in the area.

One of the suspects, Abubakar who admitted to committing the crime said:

“We saw the lady and our interest was to scare her into parting away with her mobile phone. We told her we were Aiye Cult members and that the colour of her dress gave her out as a rival cult member.”

The spokesperson however added that the suspects had been moved to the State Anti-Robbery Unit for further investigation.
