Spectranet launches car Mifi to aid internet connectivity on the go. Another toy or needed product?

Internet and broadband service company, Spectranet, on Friday launched a car Mifi device: Car-Fi to meet the increasing demand of Nigerians for internet connectivity on the go.

The launch which took place in Lagos pulled tech enthusiasts within Lagos to witness the live testing of the product.

According to Ajay Awasthi, CEO, Spectranet, the product was designed to meet the need of Nigerians.

However, critics have argued against the position of the company where it claimed its product as a child of innovation.

With mobile hotspot and pocket-size Mifi(s) that stays handy, the new Car-Fi by Spectranet might be considered merely another fanciful product -to be heard of without a significant need.
